What makes Skotiri truly distinctive is throubi, the wild thyme that grows naturally on Ios. It gives the cheese its aromatic, slightly spicy character, balanced by a buttery, spreadable texture.

 

Where it comes from

Produced on the island of Ios by To Niotiko Tyrokomeio, a small artisanal dairy using local goat, sheep and cow’s milk from free-grazing animals. The production follows traditional methods, with strict quality control at every stage. Each cheese captures the aromas of the Cycladic land, offering a true taste of place.
